The audio workflow is renowned for its speed and ease of use. In 1993, the German company Steinberg released Cubase Audio on Atari. I know a lot of composers that do all of their composing in Logic or Cubase, but use ProTools exclusively for mixing and mastering. Ardour is very over-looked and I feel that it is almost unfair to an extent. I have used many DAW’s, from Cubase to Reaper to Live, even LMMS before. Ardour has grown so much in the past few years, I thought I’d share my opinion.
CUBASE VS PROTOOLS SOFTWARE
Whatever my point was, I think I made it. A digital audio workstation (DAW) is an electronic device or application software used for. Ardour VS ProTools (and My Professional Career). In the question What are the best DAWs Studio One is ranked 1st while Cubase 10.5 is ranked 6th. Maybe it's just me, but I have VST plugins that sound fantastic. with the new features in cubase 5 I feel like it really is a wash between the two. When comparing Cubase 10.5 vs Studio One, the Slant community recommends Studio One for most people. I can change the channel to 1 or 2 or whatever, and it works, but. How can it possibly sound different? It would be a huge liability for plugin companies to sell a plugin on multiple platforms and have them sound different on each. cubase tracks not playing In Cubase/Nuendo, select Devices Setup from the Devices.
It's the same code, ported for different plugin protocols.
CUBASE VS PROTOOLS PORTABLE
When you're working on portable monitors through an Mbox on location with PT LE (which I think was the scenario) it may be more difficult to hear the results you're after and so therefore may SEEM like the RTAS versions are inferior. My guess is that because he's used to big Genelecs in a properly tuned room (he has a nice studio) with a PT HD3 system system, the results of processing seem very impressive and immediate and probably a lot more pronounced because of the better monitoring environment and better converters, etc. This guy also slams his levels and, to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the sound of his work, which is very popular by the way.
CUBASE VS PROTOOLS PRO
I currently use Logic X however I have Pro Tools 11 coming on Monday, its just the little features in my opinion that make it quicker to use, things like tab to transient etc (watch the PT11 videos on youtube) it also depends what you will be using it for, Pro Tools 11 wont replace Logic X in my workflow. Personally, I think he's convinced himself he can. Pro Tools HD is the one thats over 1k you can get the standard version for around £400. I know a well known engineer here that is a Grammy winner (or rather, his work has garnered a Grammy) that has claimed to me that he can tell the difference between RTAS and TDM versions of the same plugin run in PT LE and PT HD.
